Project Assistant
Description We are looking for a dedicated Project Assistant to join our team on a Contract basis in Newark, New Jersey. This role involves supporting move-in day operations on campus, including assisting with traffic management and providing logistical support for incoming students. If you have strong organizational skills and enjoy working in a dynamic environment, we encourage you to apply. Responsibilities: • Direct vehicle traffic to ensure a smooth and safe flow during student move-in day. • Assist with the coordination of cart runners and other logistical tasks to streamline the move-in process. • Provide clear communication and guidance to students and their families to ensure an efficient experience. • Monitor schedules and timelines to ensure all activities are executed on time. • Perform scanning and documentation tasks to maintain accurate records. • Collaborate with team members to address any challenges that arise during the event. • Support overall project management efforts to ensure the success of the move-in day. • Participate in training sessions to become familiar with the event processes and safety protocols. Requirements • Previous experience in project coordination or event support is preferred. • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively. • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse groups of people. • Familiarity with tools such as master scheduling and timeline management. • Basic knowledge of scanning and documentation processes. • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, outdoor environment during events. • All candidates are required to undergo a screening process as part of the hiring procedure.
