Project Analyst

Reports to: Business Change Manager

Role Purpose

We're on the lookout for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our Business Change team at our London Head Office. Reporting to the Business Change Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in driving meaningful improvements across our business. This isn't just about processes; it's about shaping smarter, faster and more efficient ways of working that resonate with our brands.

 

You'll dive into a variety of projects, collaborating with teams across Next, product teams and more, bringing fresh ideas that enhance both our internal workflows and leveraging new ways of working from Next. Role Responsibilities Drive continual improvement across all divisions  by identifying opportunities that increase speed, visibility and efficiency. Challenge existing and proposed ways of working – use evidence and insight to ensure the best results are achieved. Recommend and implement change that improves efficiency through better use of technology and streamlined processes, leveraging knowledge of the business environment. Support a broad portfolio of retail projects that grow the business through cost‑saving or revenue‑generating initiatives. Facilitate smooth transitions to new ways of working by understanding variations, pressure points and the impact to our people.. Collaborate with colleagues in Next and WOB/Beauty/ JVs to design and embed joined‑up business processes. Plan and track projects – create detailed plans and progress updates; ensure delivery on time and within scope. Create process flows (“as‑is” and “to‑be”) and supporting documentation at the appropriate level of detail. Design or enhance reports and dashboards (e.g., Power Bi, Asana) to meet user and business needs; oversee testing and resolve defects. Train and coach end‑users and administrative personnel, creating engaging materials and measuring adoption. Champion a culture of change that benefits both individuals and the company.   Role Requirements Actively listens, asks clarifying questions and collaborates to devise solutions. Works effectively with cross‑functional teams and builds positive relationships. Proactive, resilient and able to work independently in a Prince2 Agile environment. Understands core project‑management principles and produces clear project documentation. Excellent time‑management; able to juggle multiple work‑streams and meet deadlines. Communicates complex information clearly to stakeholders at all levels. Confident in learning new applications and training others. Challenges conventional thinking to drive innovation. Maintains confidentiality and acts with integrity at all times. Advanced Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (including pivot tables, advanced formulas, basic scripting). Experience building dashboards and interactive reports in Power BI or comparable data‑visualisation tools. Familiar with collaboration and workflow tools such as Asana, Google Workspace and Miro/Lucidchart. Exposure to retail, e‑commerce or supply‑chain operations Certification or formal training in Prince2 Agile, AgilePM, Lean Six Sigma or an equivalent methodology is preferred, but not essential — relevant experience and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset are just as valuable
