We are the Translational Immunology team, and we are looking for a hardworking associate with experience in overseeing clinical trials and managing academic collaborations to join our team. Our mission is to identify molecule- and mechanism-relevant biomarkers for assets in Lilly’s immunology pipeline and develop drug tailoring hypotheses in various autoimmune diseases. The selection of appropriate clinical trial samples and verification of patient informed consent will facilitate our utilization of samples for biomarker research. The position offers an outstanding opportunity to impact precision medicine approaches in Lilly’s autoimmune therapies to the most suitable patients based on novel biomarkers. You will play a pivotal role in advancing both internal and external research efforts, empowering our scientists to work more efficiently while proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the delivery of immunology research to meet our ambitious timelines.

**Responsibilities**
+ Oversee and manage the entire lifecycle of collaborative Translational Immunology biomarker research projects with key external investigators, including engagement with the Immunology Business Unit (BU), lead teams, Investigator-Initiated Research (IIR) teams, and the Translational Medicine Steering Committee (TMSC).
+ Execute research agreements/contracts for translational biomarkers with external collaborators and coordinate various aspects of research collaborations within Lilly and with external partners. This involves partnering with functions including BU, legal, translational scientists, statistics, and bioinformatics teams. Additionally, oversee the operational aspects of these collaborations, ensuring seamless communication, efficient resource allocation, and adherence to timelines and budget. Facilitate regular progress reviews and address any challenges that arise to maintain the momentum and success of the research initiatives
+ Facilitate the implementation of exploratory biomarkers by collaborating across various Lilly disciplines, including Biology, Medical, Statistics, Bioinformatics, and Clinical Design, Delivery, and Analytics. (CDDA). Operations
+ Responsible for oversight of outsourced biomarker research to Clinical Research Organization (CRO’s), ensuring on time, and on budget data delivery.
+ Maintain and organize the translational immunology collaboration spaces, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
+ Identify exploratory biomarker samples based on criteria provided by Lilly scientists from both Lilly clinical trials as well as CROs.
+ Collaborate with clinical teams to locate, translate, and review country-level informed consent forms (ICF) to ensure exploratory biomarker samples are used as defined by the protocol and ICF.
+ Manage comprehensive research proposals for the utilization of exploratory biomarker samples, detailing the testing procedures and responsible personnel. Additionally, coordinate the internal approval process to ensure proper authorization of sample use.
**Basic Qualifications**
+ Hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in supporting clinical research in immunology or a closely related field.
+ Possess at least 2 years of experience with external academic collaborations.
+ Demonstrate expertise in the implementation and integration of clinical project management processes and tools.
+ Proficient in various software programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

+ Ability to manage across geographies and cultures.
+ Demonstrated skill and experience in handling alliances with outside partners
+ Excellent relational skills and team spirit.
+ High proficiency in written and spoken English communication skills.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$63,000 - $140,800
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
