Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Project Accountant to be based in Bogotá, Colombia.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Has advanced knowledge of project accounting, providing support for the most complex and/or large scale projects. Under general direction, makes recommendations for project improvement based on review of financial results and knowledge of project(s). Researches general ledger account reconciliations, journal entry preparation and A/R cash adjustments. Works with customers or clients to gather and provide information. Reviews contracts for additional service opportunities and assist in converting project proposal into project budget.Support administrative operations in Colombia and Peru.Treasury:
Cash Flow Management
Prepare and update cash flow projections.Monitor daily inflows and outflows to ensure operational liquidity.Coordinate bank transfers and payments to suppliers.Bank Administration
Manage relationships with financial institutions.Open, close, and maintain corporate bank accounts.Negotiate financial conditions (rates, terms, credit lines).Payment Control
Validate and execute domestic and international payments.Supervise compliance with payment policies and authorizations.Control recurring payments (payroll, taxes, services).Bank Reconciliations
Perform periodic reconciliations between accounting records and bank statements.Identify and resolve discrepancies or inconsistencies.Investment and Financing Management
Evaluate investment alternatives for liquidity surpluses.Support the structuring of financing for projects or operational needs.Regulatory Compliance and Auditing
Ensure compliance with financial and tax regulations.Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.Financial Reporting
Prepare treasury reports for management and headquarters.Analyze financial indicators related to liquidity, debt, and profitability.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
BA/BS + 6 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.Intermediate level of English level proficiencyAdvanced level of Microsoft office Experience in analysis, administration and treasury.Additional InformationPreferable requirements:
