Essential Responsibilities:
Implement and manage effective project cost control systemsInterpret and communicate contractual and commercial termsDeliver accurate cost reporting and strategic financial insights to leadershipSupport collective agreement development and executionCoordinate invoicing documentation, including statutory declarations and compliance certificatesPrepare and submit LEM reports, progress billings, invoices, and holdback releasesValidate third-party invoices and reconcile electronic billing with client systemsMonitor equipment usage, rental agreements, subcontractors, and ensure contractual complianceSupport project managers with change orders, payroll coordination, payment resolution, and month-end journal entriesQualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an operational cost accounting roleExperience within commercial construction, Telecom or a related industry is preferredKnowledge of JD Edwards or similar large ERP is preferredWorking knowledge of construction methodsFinancial acumen regarding equipment utilization, rates, equipment capital decisions, and profitability analysisWorking knowledge of construction accounting principlesWorking knowledge of construction software systemsStrong analytical skills and problem solvingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)Work Conditions:
