Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Project Accountant to join our team in Downtown Seattle, WA. This is a 100% onsite position, Monday through Friday, where you will primarily focus on Accounts Payable (AP) and some Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks utilizing JD Edwards ERP systems. You will be responsible for union payroll for 5-15 employees weekly, with potential for an increased workload as new projects arise.
ResponsibilitiesEnsure the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.Assist with the monthly and annual financial close processes, including the preparation of consolidated financial statements.Perform complex reconciliations, including liability account roll forwards and monthly bank reconciliations.Assist with internal and external audits.Prepare and review journal entries and correct accounting posting errors.Work with Textura, Report Now, and Pro-Cor software.Assist management with preparing and analyzing various reporting needs such as Progress Billings, Lean restrictions, and Retention bonds.Essential SkillsProven experience in accounting, reporting, and project accounting.Familiarity with construction accounting, project billing, lien, progress billing, job costing, and construction AP.Proficiency in JD Edwards ERP systems, Sage, or Timberline software.Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel with V-lookups and pivot tables.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting.3-5 years of related construction experience.Experience with Textura software is a plus.Experience with B2G Now, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Union Payroll.Customer service experience with contractors and subcontractors.Work Environment
The Project Accountant will work in a dynamic setting focused on construction projects. The role involves working with JD Edwards ERP systems, and other software like Pro-Cor and Textura. The work is conducted in an office environment in downtown Seattle, with free onsite parking and a Good to Go pass for tolls for work purposes.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.00 - $43.00/hr.
