Overview
We’re supporting a growing team in need of an experienced Project Accountant who can operate independently, partner closely with project managers, and ensure accurate financial tracking across multiple active projects. This role blends project accounting, invoicing, budgeting, and contract administration within a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage project invoicing, collections, and budgeting with a high degree of autonomyProvide backup support for A/P coding, timesheet review, and expense processingMaintain accurate contract documentation, including fee setup and budget entryPartner with project and section leaders to deliver timely financial data and resolve issuesCoordinate project accounting workflows and ensure compliance with contractual requirementsSupport multiple project managers daily and serve as a resource to junior accountantsPerform additional project accounting duties as neededRequired Qualifications
Associate degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience5+ years of project accounting experience (advanced degree may offset experience)Working knowledge of Earned Value ManagementStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to prioritize, multitask, and collaborate across teams in a fast‑paced settingHighly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to handle confidential informationProficient in MS Office (Word, Outlook)Self‑motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountabilityPreferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in AccountingLocal candidates strongly preferredWork Environment & Culture

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.65 - $36.06/hr.
