Project Accountant
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Project Accountant to join our dynamic, project-driven environment. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with executive leadership, shape financial processes, and contribute to strategic decisions.
Responsibilities
Manage billing, accounts receivable/payable, ensuring timely processing of monthly invoices ($2M/month).Oversee project-level financial management, including monitoring project health and cost performance.Conduct budgeting, forecasting, and variance tracking, focusing on Direct Labor Ratio and Direct Labor Multiplier.Perform account reconciliations and support month-end close processes.Prepare and analyze financial reports for leadership.Communicate with clients and vendors regarding billing and payment issues.Support compliance with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and maintain internal controls.Assist with Deltek Vantagepoint or Vision system operations for project accounting.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including admin, IT, and operations as needed.Essential Skills
Minimum of 5-6 years of accounting experience, preferably in architecture or engineering services.Proficiency in Deltek Vantagepoint or Vision is required.Strong knowledge of project accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Associate’s degree with additional experience considered).Familiarity with CAS compliance is a plus.Work Environment
The role requires being fully onsite for approximately the first three months due to training requirements. After the training period, there is flexibility to work remotely up to two days a week. This position reports to the CFO.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
