Kforce has a client in Saint Louis, MO that is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Accountant to join their team. In this role, the Project Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of construction projects from start to finish. This includes budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Responsibilities: * Monitor and report on project budgets, costs, and financial performance * Prepare and review project invoices, purchase orders, and change orders * Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting * Assist in month-end close processes and prepare project-specific financial reports * Ensure compliance with contract terms, billing requirements, and internal controls * Identify cost variances and assist in forecasting project cash flows * Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and vendors regarding billing and payments
