ABOUT THE POSITION
VHB is currently looking to hire a Project Accountant to join our Northeast Regional Finance group. This position will sit in either our New York, New York or Hauppauge, New York office and work a hybrid schedule. Our team collaborates with both public and private clients in various industries such as transportation, real estate, institutional, and energy. Additionally, we work closely with federal, state, and local governments.
Responsibilities
Preparation and processing of client invoices and contract documentsClient and sub-consultant contract maintenanceAssistance with project setup, budgeting and monitoringAccounts receivable collection assistanceAssistance with research & resolution of client questionsSkills and Abilities
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environmentExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to think critically and solve problemsMust be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and Adobe AcrobatQualifications
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Management, or equivalent experience0-4 years of related accounting, finance, billing, or equivalent experience (preferably within theAEC industry) Knowledge of Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint or other similar financial applications a plus
Our best estimate of the salary range for this position located in New York City is $30/hr – $40/hr. Our best estimate of the salary range for Hauppauge locations is $28/hr - $38/hr. The final compensation will be based on a variety of factors including internal comparators, skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities and geographic location.
