Project Accountant
We’re looking for a hybrid Project Accountant in the real estate construction industry based in Edmonton, AB.
Our client is a reputable real estate construction company recognized for delivering projects that shape the city’s skyline and communities. The Project Accountant will be responsible for managing financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring accurate reporting, and partnering with project managers to support financial performance. Project Accountant responsibilities:
• Manage project accounting functions including invoicing, billings, and reconciliations
• Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis for active projects
• Collaborate with project managers to track costs and ensure profitability
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes
• Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Assist in preparing financial reports and presentations for leadership
• Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within project accounting
The successful candidate has:
• 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction, development, or project-based industries
• Strong knowledge of project accounting and financial reporting
• Proficiency with accounting software and Excel
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across departments
Compensation and benefits:
• The discussed salary range is $75,000 – $95,000 depending on experience
• Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered

• Hybrid work arrangement: two days in the office and three days from home
