Purpose of Role: This position presents an excellent opportunity for a first class, qualified accountant to join our Group Finance team and further their career within a FTSE 100 public limited company. The Group Finance team are responsible for all consolidated internal and external reporting, including adherence to IFRS and managing  the Group external audit engagement and reporting to the Audit Committee.

A specific requirement has arisen for a technically strong accountant on an interim basis to support a series of targeted projects. The role will involve applying technical accounting knowledge, managing and interpreting large volumes of financial data, exercising judgement in complex areas, and producing clear, audit-ready documentation of findings and conclusions. This is a high-impact role suited to someone with a strong grasp of IFRS, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Review & Assessment: For several in-flight projects, review and understand the work completed to date, the underlying objectives, and the current status. Develop a clear understanding of the technical and operational context of each initiative.Project Progression & Process Design: Determine the steps required to progress each project to completion. This will likely involve designing and embedding new processes to ensure the Group’s financial records are maintained efficiently and in compliance with relevant technical accounting standards.Technical Documentation & Stakeholder Reporting: Prepare comprehensive documentation of project outcomes, including methodologies, assumptions, and conclusions. Ensure outputs are audit-ready and suitable for presentation to senior stakeholders such as the Group Financial Controller, CFO, and external auditors.Independent Delivery with Collaborative Engagement: Operate with a high degree of autonomy while maintaining close collaboration with key teams across Group Finance, including the OneStream development team, Group Finance Reporting team, and Head Office Finance team, to ensure alignment and integration of project outcomes.Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

Professional Qualification: CA, ACA, or CIMA qualified accountant with a minimum of eight years post-qualification experience.Technical Expertise: Proven experience in complex multi-currency consolidation under IFRS, with exposure to intercompany refinancing and restructuring considered highly beneficial.Analytical & Judgement Skills: Strong ability to apply professional judgement in reaching technically sound conclusions, supported by data-driven analysis that aligns with accounting standards.Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and precision, with the ability to work confidently with large and complex data sets.
