Project Accountant
Description Lana Funkhouser with Robert Half is looking for an experienced Project Accountant to join our team in Boise, Idaho. This role involves overseeing financial processes for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance while supporting project operations. The ideal candidate will excel in managing complex accounting tasks and collaborating with team members to achieve project goals. Responsibilities: • Process subcontractor billings and material invoices on a bi-monthly and monthly basis to ensure timely payments. • Develop and maintain organized records, including purchase orders, subcontract files, meeting minutes, and other essential documents. • Assist in preparing client billing statements and quarterly accounting reports for the corporate office. • Collaborate with the lead project accountant to gather tax-related documentation and support subcontract billing cycles. • Monitor financial data to ensure alignment with established budgets and schedules. • Track and report accounting indicators to provide insights into project performance. • Handle administrative tasks such as copying, filing, and distributing jobsite correspondence. • Manage technical information necessary for delivering high-quality construction projects. • Ensure compliance with all data management requirements and project standards. Job Order: 03590-0013277191 Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction project accounting. • Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams. • Advanced Excel skills, such as pivot tables and data analysis capabilities. • Familiarity with Tier I accounting software and experience with Oracle JD Edwards Enterprise-One systems. • Strong knowledge of job costing and cost accounting practices. • Ability to organize technical data accurately and efficiently. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong relationships. • Capacity to perform well under pressure and maintain a collaborative attitude.
