Project Accountant
Job Description:

This role involves supporting prevailing wage reporting and ensuring compliance with construction contract requirements. You will play a pivotal part in project accounting, payroll processing, and monitoring financial implications of discrepancies.

Responsibilities:Review construction contract requirements for assigned projects and attend project kickoff meetings to ensure alignment with project teams.Ensure timely weekly reporting per contract requirements and log any payment shortfalls.Support third-party contractually required monitoring as needed.Review project settings in LCPtracker for accuracy and verify wage determination data.Load payroll information into LCPtracker and review for accuracy and completeness.Work with project teams and payroll to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate payments, especially for apprentices.Raise awareness of financial implications of discrepancies and adjustments.Generate and provide weekly payroll and apprentice reports from LCPtracker to meet customer billing requirements.Respond to general questions on prevailing wage and LCPtracker processes.Represent company interests when interacting with project auditors.Assist with annual and special audits as necessary.Review team member setups and timecard reports prior to processing.Qualifications:3+ years of experience in Payroll, Prevailing Wage, or Project Accounting.Experience in the construction, engineering, or architecture industry.Proficiency in using pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.Experience with certified payroll reports and project accounting.Knowledge of LCPtracker and Oracle systems.Work Environment:

This position is part of a newly created team focused on prevailing wage and Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) projects. The role involves a mix of both payroll and project accounting tasks, with primary emphasis on payroll. You will work closely with project teams and there will be considerable interaction with project accounting. The team operates three days a week in-office after an initial two-week training period, typically Tuesday through Thursday. The company uses Oracle, UKG, and LCP for certified payroll reports. This shared service location houses the majority of the company's Accounting and Finance functions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $40.00/hr.
