As our business grows we are securing a significant increase in public-sector long-term contracts in the property sector. A number of these contracts are looking for a programmatic approach to delivery to drive consistency and efficiency. They seek strategic supply partners who will work in a collaborative manner; that may be driven through a formal contractual relationship or an informal expectation of our behavioural approach. Apply today.** We are seeking a programme project manager who will be deployed a Government Framework. Within the programme we are working collaboratively with a project & cost management consultant and a specialist services consultant in a strategic relationship to help move to a programmatic delivery model; this means that each project has a collaborative project delivery team set up. You would be managing WSPs delivery for a suite of projects in the portfolio and using your skills as a pragmatic practitioner of NEC forms of contract to apply it in a collaborative and positive fashion. The successful candidate will be managing the London portfolio of projects. This is focused on creating greater efficiency in how the London civil service offices are utilised by the different government departments. This includes refurbishment of existing facilities as well as bringing some of the historic heritage estate back into use. You will be working closely with the projects Design Managers and Project Directors, who are London based, to successful deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be the primary point of contact for the client and partners. You will be driving collaborative and effective delivery and management of change instructions, early warnings, budgets, programme, reporting; ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the design and construction phases. The role will require you to effectively manage your time across the competing demands of the projects within your portfolio. You will be dealing with preventative interventions to ensure that the project teams are fully aware and meeting their committed schedule for design delivery. You may be leading stand-ups, pull planning sessions and driving delivery to the schedule. You will be making sure that the project teams are not creeping scope and that teams, clients and partners are fully aware of, and aligned, on boundaries and interfaces. You will be leaning in on issues as they arise to ensure that there is a clear and effective resolution approach being implemented. For the right candidate the opportunity exists to take on national responsibility at framework contract level, leading a small programme team that is focussed on driving consistency and programmatic working across the national portfolio of projects. The role will sit within our Property and Building Major Project Services team. The team is being grown to meet the increasing demand on the business for deploying teams to support key projects and programmes. So with an eye to the future this presents a great opportunity for personal development and progression onto some of the most iconic projects and programmes within the business. A fantastic collaborator and facilitator with excellent negotiation skills who is in their nature curios and inquisitive, seeking to understand the root cause and context of presenting issues. You have enjoyed working in a fast paced and agile environment and really taking the lead for driving the delivery approach. You are highly energised, confident and forward- thinking individual with an ambitious drive for positive improvement in the way that things are done and the way the team works together. You are a skilled and impactful communicator with the ability to unpick and present complex problems in an understandable and simplified fashion. You have extensive experience project managing the design and assurance of new build and retrofit commercial properties through RIBA Stages 1-7 and practicable experience in effectively applying NEC4 contract within the public sector environment. You will have demonstrable experience of working collaboratively, as part of a wider team, with other organisations. We are looking for working experience of managing NEC3/4 contracts; accreditation is advantageous but not a necessity. You will have a proven track record in managing the design and assurance of new build and retrofit projects for commercial properties circa value £5m - £40m+. You will have a successful track record on managing different technical workstreams within a multi-disciplinary delivery team, bringing them together as a cohesive project team. Working knowledge of systems similar to Oracle Cloud Application and contract management systems such as CEMAR, Sypro is advantageous. Other aspects we are ideally looking for are: + A degree in a relevant engineering, construction or project management discipline. + Incorporated or Chartered member of a relevant professional engineering or project management institution. + APM / MSP / PMI / PRINCE2 / Six Sigma certifications are considered beneficial.
