Job Description
The Program Services Specialist is tasked with processing child care fee assistance while fostering relationships with military personnel, family members, and child care providers. The role is pivotal in ensuring timely processing of applications, maintaining data integrity, and providing exemplary customer service.
ResponsibilitiesProcess all child care fee assistance applications within mandated timeframes.Enter client information and data into an automated database system.Determine applicant eligibility according to outlined program requirements.Assist applicants in assessing and selecting child care options as needed.Determine child care provider qualifications according to outlined program requirements.Prepare and distribute accurate program information and required documents to family child care providers.Provide exemplary customer service to clients via telephone or email and assist in resolving questions or concerns.Maintain respectful, professional working relationships with clients.Uphold high ethical standards, including strict confidentiality.Participate in a team-oriented work environment.Assist with special projects and other functions as needed to accomplish organizational mission and objectives.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsMinimum of 2 years processing experience and/or case management.Experience working fully remote is required.High School Diploma is required.Customer service oriented.Case management skills.Experience with call center environments.Knowledge of fee assistance program policies and procedures.Proven multi-tasking capability.Organizational skills and sense of urgency.Exceptional oral and written communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree with two years of progressive experience in Social Services, Human Services, Child Development, or Military fee assistance policy and procedures.Proven experience providing excellent customer service to diverse populations.Conflict resolution experience is a plus.Experience in social services, human services, or child development settings.Experience with Microsoft Office suite and internet-savvy.Knowledge of database management.Work Environment
This position is 100% remote, requiring the candidate to be local to Arlington and reside in the DMV area for equipment pickup and onsite meet and greet. The standard shift is from 10 AM to 7 PM, with training from 9:30 AM to 6 PM, Monday to Friday, for the first six weeks.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
