About the Agency: The Idaho Division of Career Technical Education (IDCTE) provides leadership, administration, and coordination for programs in secondary and post secondary career technical education (CTE) and adult education across the state of Idaho. With a customer-service focus, the Division leads Idaho’s efforts to prepare youth and adults for high-skill, in-demand careers. Summary: Program Quality Managers provide guidance and technical support to secondary and postsecondary career technical education programs. This position will focus on program quality improvement, student leadership success, and cross-collaboration with employers, and secondary and postsecondary program staff. Program Quality Managers work to ensure that program offerings directly align to regional and state labor needs and program standards. Job Responsibilities: + Provide statewide leadership and advocacy for career technical education with emphasis in the areas of Engineering and Technology Education. + Provide technical assistance and resources to administrators, educators, and other CTE service providers in program areas, impacting secondary and postsecondary students. + Provide leadership and guidance to CTE program instructors, administrators, career counselors and transition coordinators in all educational regions of Idaho. + Ensure the program area meets its stated objectives and state and federal requirements through program visits and program reviews annually. + Work cooperatively with external agency stakeholders, such as business and workforce development partners. + Work cooperatively with the TSA Student Leadership Manager to provide support and technical assistance to local schools and technical colleges related to student organization development. + Facilitate secondary program planning with standards, assessments, data, and SkillStack®, Idaho’s microcredential platform. + Facilitate secondary and postsecondary program connections. + Develop teacher and administrator professional development opportunities at Idaho CTE Summer Conferences and other times, as appropriate. + Collaborate with Idaho Digital Learning as necessary to develop courses for CTE Digital. + Some local, state, and national travel required. + Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: + Combination of bachelor’s degree in subject area and experience, typically gained from college course work OR three years of professional experience, typically gained through employment in a closely related field aligned with engineering and technology education. + Have at least three years' teaching experience in a CTE program, OR equivalent work experience such that the applicant would qualify for a CTE Limited Occupational Specialist educator certification. + Eligible to hold an Idaho CTE Administrator certificate. + Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the following areas: organizational leadership and management; interpretation of state and federal laws; good written and verbal communication skills, and computer skills, typically gained by leadership or program management roles. Preferred Qualifications: + Hold master’s degree from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience typically gained by relevant professional experience. + Hold an Idaho CTE Administrator certificate. + Earned an industry certification in an area related to information technology, engineering, or digital media. + Demonstrated experience with Idaho’s career technical education system at the secondary and/or postsecondary levels.
