Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will drive quality improvement in support of customer and internal initiatives. As the Program Quality Engineer, you will support all requirements relative to the quality of components, sub-systems, and product-related services provided for landing gear programs. This role acts as the primary quality liaison between customers, program management, engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers, driving compliance, product integrity, and continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle.
This position is working onsite at Oakville Facility - Oakville - ON -Canada
**What You Will Do**
+ Serve as the quality focal for assigned programs, ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory and internal requirements.
+ Review and flow down customer quality requirements into program and manufacturing processes.
+ Support technical reviews to validate quality deliverables and risk mitigation.
+ Monitor program performance metrics (PPM, yield, escapes, NCRs, audits) and identify systemic issues.
+ Drive Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) using structured problem-solving tools (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone).
+ Provide real-time quality support to resolve shop-floor, process, and product issues.
+ Act as the primary quality interface with customers for assigned programs, including audits, reviews, and quality status reporting.
+ Liaise with cross-functional teams (Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, Procurement, MRB, and Supplier Quality).
+ Prepare and present quality status, risks, and opportunities to program leadership
+ Support and drive lean initiatives, mistake-proofing, and process improvements within quality systems.
+ Ensure compliance to AS9100/AS9145 standards, customer-specific requirements, and special processes.
+ Contribute to internal/external audits and lead closure of findings.
**Qualifications We Require**
+ Typically requires Bachelor degree in Engineering or other relevant technical discipline,
+ Minimum 5 years of related manufacturing in Quality.
+ Experience in the design and machining / manufacturing methods with the ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D drawings.
+ Experience in structured problem solving tools (8D, fault tree analysis etc.)
+ knowledge of AS9100, APQP, PPAP, FAIR, and RCCA methodologies.
+ Experience with Customer interface and managing projects
+ The selected candidate must be eligible to work in Canada; successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP
**Qualifications We Prefer**
+ Aerospace or automotive quality engineering experience.
+ Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills requiring minimal supervision
+ Proven leadership ability in order to drive timely resolution of quality concerns, requiring minimal supervision.
+ Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and SAP software programs
+ Superior communication skills and command of the English language, with an aptitude for conveying complex technical information to a wide variety of audiences
+ Demonstrated analytical skills and project management experience
+ Familiarity with aerospace hardware manufacturing processes (machining, assembly, composites, forgings, special processes).
+ Experience interfacing with aerospace OEMs (Boeing, Airbus, Lockheed Martin, etc.) preferred.
