BAE Systems is seeking a Program Quality Assurance Manager (QPM) in support of the York, Pennsylvania manufacturing facility. In this role as the Quality Program Manager, you will be responsible for leading all quality assurance and quality control activities across the lifecycle of government vehicle manufacturing contractsfrom requirements capture through design, production, delivery, and sustainment. The QPM serves as the primary interface between Quality, Program Management, DCMA/government customers, Engineering, and Operations, ensuring that all deliverables meet contract, regulatory, and internal standards. The QPM champions risk-based quality planning, supplier quality integration, nonconformance management, and Cost of Quality (CoQ) reduction to ensure mission-readiness, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Note: This position is on the 3-2-1 Hybrid work schedule. The QPM is required to be located within a reasonable commuting distance to the York, PA site.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Typically requires a Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Quality, Industrial Technology, or a related field, plus ten (10) years of experience in Quality Assurance or Program Quality in aerospace, defense, or heavy vehicle manufacturing, or the overall equivalent
+ Strong working knowledge of FAR/DFARS, MIL-STD, AS9100D, ISO 9001, and DCMA/DoD quality expectations
+ Proven leadership in managing quality across large, multi-functional teams
+ People management experience to support a team of up to five direct reports
+ Proficiency in root cause analysis tools (5-Why, Fishbone, 8D), FMEA, control plans
+ Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and MES/ERP platforms (Oracle, SAP, Plex, etc.)
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ ASQ certification: CQE, CQA, CMQ/OE
+ Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
+ Working knowledge of ITAR, CMMC, and cybersecurity requirements
+ Understanding of Cost of Quality (CoQ) modeling and tracking
+ Familiarity with Model-Based Definition (MBD) and Digital Thread concepts
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $133333 - $226667
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
