Program Marketing Officer, Edwards School of Business

Summary:

The Program Marketing Officer provides leadership in the development and implementation of innovative, effective, and reliable marketing strategies to advance the reputation, priorities, and goals of the Edwards School of Business, in alignment with the strategic plan.  

Reporting to the Manager, Marketing & Communications, this incumbent will collaborate closely with program administration and engage with both internal and external stakeholders. The Program Marketing Officer is responsible for executing targeted recruitment marketing initiatives and campaigns that effectively elevate the profile of the Edwards School of Business on both a local and national level.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare and implement annual recruitment marketing strategies to support and advance the strategic directions of the Edwards School of Business, Business Strategic Plan, USask Plan 2025, and ohpahotân | oohpaahotaan Indigenous Engagement plan Create and implement marketing metrics (KPI) across all programs, ensuring evaluation of the success of the marketing functions Manage budgetary requirements of marketing activities, making cost-effective recommendations and effective use of resources Collaboratively work with program teams within the College and Central to enhance awareness of the programs the undergraduate (Bachelor of Commerce, Certificate in Entrepreneurship, Certificate in Business, Indigenous Business Administration Certificate), graduate (Master of Business Administration, Graduate Certificate in Leadership, Graduate Certificate in Financial Management, Master of Professional Accounting, Master of Science in Management) and Co-operative Education programs to meet enrolment targets Lead and manage marketing projects including digital campaigns (advertising, email, social media, etc.), video production, print and radio advertising, content writing and design (news stories, brochures, one pagers, digital signage, etc.) to promote undergraduate and graduate programs Manage the undergraduate and graduate programs, and Career Services/Co-operative Education pages on the website. Track, analyze and assess effectiveness of marketing initiatives and campaigns, compiling reports, and making data-driven adjustments as needed to achieve KPIs and providing annual reports to program teams Direct and review the work of marketing contractors (videography, photography, content creation, etc.) Ensure messaging is consistent for the College and University Stewardship of the university and college’s reputation and visual identities Participate in University Relations and Marketing meetings, team planning and other activities that contribute to achieving University-wide goals in communications Communicates and acts in a respectful and professional manner, collaborates effectively, abides by policy, and contributes to a positive and productive work and learning environment Engages in continuous learning by participating in activities, training, and events related to Indigenous engagement, reconciliation, equity, diversity, and inclusion Demonstrates respect and dignity for all members of the community, actively contributes to an environment of acceptance and inclusion of others, and responds to different perspectives from a place of curiosity, respect, and non-judgement Undertakes related duties, as assigned, consistent with the nature of the position

Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or a related field Minimum five years’ experience in marketing with a demonstrated progression in level of responsibility, including a breadth of experience developing and implementing all areas of strategic marketing plans Experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Rush will be considered a strong asset Experience with Google Analytics, Google Looker Studio, Google Tag Manager, will be considered a strong asset Experience with Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Spotify Ads, etc. will be considered a strong asset Experience with using website content management systems will be considered an asset Demonstrated ability of recognizing, respecting, and working effectively with individuals and groups from diverse perspectives and backgrounds, encouraging change, and engaging colleagues in implementing communication strategies Demonstrated strong leadership, analytical, and organizational skills, including the ability to effectively plan and manage multiple projects and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment Proven ability to develop written and video content for a variety of marketing vehicles Ability to work independently and collaboratively and be self-motivated and reliable Ability to problem-solve, think, and act strategically and creatively Attention to detail, discretion, a high level of integrity, and independent judgment Highly organized with polished presentation and interpersonal skills Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
