This position will work out of the Windsor, ON area
The Program Manager (PM) develops and manages new and existing programs by recommending, monitoring or adjusting appropriate plant operating procedures to meet program requirements within the manufacturing facility. Coordinates program vendor activities including design, tooling and parts suppliers to ensure cost, deliver and quality targets are met according to customer requirements and schedules. Prepares quotations for piece cost and tooling. Provides technical launch support at customer locations.
Education:
College diploma / University degree in Mechanical Engineering PMP designation or Tool Maker’s certificateLighting injection mold experience considered a strong assetExperience:
10+ years of experience in mold making machining or automotive manufacturingMust have strong understanding of the tool function and manufacturing processes for small, medium & large injection toolsMold design experience (large size tooling) with an emphasis on part/tooling feasibilityMold making and mold processing experience (preferably with fascias), an assetSkills:
Advance understanding of tool design (core, cavity, ejection, injection, actions (lifters/slides), components)Advance understanding of tool manufacturing (3D cnc machining, 2D boring mill, gun-drilling, EDM, Polishing)Advance understanding of toolmaking process (fitting of components, spotting core to cavity parting line, disassembly/assembly, polishing, welding)Proficient in the use of 3D NX design software for the purpose of part/tool interrogationEffectively network and communicate to utilize resources within the companyStrong Microsoft Office (including Project and Visio) and Outlook skillsPerform well in high pressure situationsStrong negotiation, problem solving and facilitation skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills - verbal and electronicSelf-motivated and able to work independentlyPossess sound financial and business knowledge, an assetAbility to communicate in a second language, an asset (Spanish, Mandarin, German, Portuguese, Polish)Awareness, Unity, Empowerment:At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
