Job Summary
The Nuclear & Precision Health Solutions Program Manager, NPHS PM, is responsible for managing the execution of inter-connected projects that are managed as a program. The NPHS PM focuses on program strategy, project delegation and implementation. They work within the constraints of budget, schedule and scope while managing risk and ensuring adherence to established processes and methodologies. The NPHS PM’s programs are tied to critical organizational goals.

Achieves on time, on budget delivery of strategic, capital programs with aggressive timelinesConnects program objectives to broader organizational goals. Connects short-term demands to long-term implications, in alignment with the supporting business caseApplies knowledge of the project management initiating, planning, executing, monitoring/controlling, and closing processesEffectively documents scope, estimated cost, and creates a detailed schedule for large, complex, cross-functional projects and programsOrganizes project teams, establishes project schedules and individual responsibilities, and determines resource requirements Ensures effective, nimble controls are in place to manage risks, issues, changes, decisions, cost, resources, and schedule Creatively solves problems with stakeholders when challenges occurEnsures team is successful by addressing workload priorities, removing obstacles, facilitating issue resolution. Negotiates with stakeholders to obtain the resources necessary for successful executionMonitors performance and influences appropriate scope, schedule, cost or resource adjustmentsFacilitates prioritization in order to minimize impact of high-demand resources having competing deadlines Works within the constraints of budget, schedule and scope, while managing risk and ensuring adherence to established processes. Collaborates with leadership and finance to pursue additional funding, as appropriateEnsures equipment and vendors are selected. Reviews vendor contracts to ensure completeness of scope, requirements and ensuring vendors deliver on time and on budget. Orchestrates and monitors purchase ordersOptimally plans equipment delivery date, installation and qualification Shares long-term plans for equipment purchases with sourcing for strategic planning. Collaborates with Global Trade on import planningProvides periodic and summary reports on the status of program health, timing, risks, issues and resources to leadership and stakeholdersShares monthly forecast with finance. Collaborates with NPHS leadership to achieve each fiscal year capital budget goalsCollaborates with finance and operations to ensure assets are placed in service at required time, with accurate, comprehensive informationEnsures adherence to quality standards and Cardinal Health policiesOther duties as assignedTravels up to 15% as per business needQualifications
8-12 years of experience, preferredBachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly MS Project, Excel, and PowerPointProven successful program management experience 2 yearsDemonstrates knowledge of capital planningAbility to influence without authorityActs with sense of urgency and desire to improve experiences for our customers and business partnersExcellent communication skills; ability to tailor communication with all levels of the organization, including executive leadershipSophisticated problem-solving skillsExperience working in highly regulated environment a plusExperience with supplier relationship management a plusExperience in healthcare, radiopharmaceuticals or pharmaceutical industry a plusUnderstanding of cGMP manufacturing environment a plusAbility to travel up to 15% of the time, as neededWhat is expected of you and others at this level
