Akron General Medical Center is looking to add a Program Manager to the team who will support the Department of Medicine Internal Medicine Residency Program. The Internal Medicine program is the largest program at our Institution, responsible for the training of 40 residents as well as multiple residents and students from other disciplines rotating through the Department. As a Program Manager, you will serve as an integral role in the management and oversight of the educational activities, creating the very complex master rotation schedule, overseeing the recruitment process as well as creating multiple dashboards to capture accreditation data needed for ACGME reporting. Your work will ensure that all requirements are needed for accreditation and graduation for our residents. Come be a part of a supportive team that encourages professional development and treats you like family. 

 

A caregiver in this position works Monday-Friday from 8:00AM – 4:30PM.  

 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

Develop, implement, manage and maintain operational systems and activities. 

Serve as a liaison with all levels of the organization and outside community. 

Manage multiple priorities and projects with competing deadlines. 

Allocate time to meet completion requirements. 

Serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department. 

Review and monitor adherence to Human Resources policies and corporate compliance procedures. 

 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or a related field and two years of experience in project management, data analysis and systems training  

OR High School Diploma/GED and six years of experience  

OR Associate’s Degree and four years of experience  

OR Master’s Degree and one year of experience  

Knowledge of statistical and financial analysis, primary research and business plan development  

 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

Experience in a healthcare setting  

Two years of medical education experience 

Microsoft skills 

Excel experience 

MedHub experience 

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods

Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment

Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information

Ability to travel throughout the hospital system
