"The Engineering Functional Excellence (EFE) organization is aligned with the CTO's strategy to accelerate innovation and organic growth. EFE is working to optimize and standardize processes, using best-in-class tools, and collaborating globally across functions to achieve our aspirational goal of 2X throughput. The EFE organization defines and deploys the right capability, governance, processes, systems and tools across the end-to-end Engineering and Product Development Lifecycle to drive efficient and effective execution.
This open role - Program Manager I - is part of the Program Management Office (PMO) within EFE and is aligned with the purpose of standardizing & accelerating World Class PM within the context of Managing New Product Development (NPD), other programs and driving growth for Eaton. This high performing organization aspires to achieve 2X throughput on NPD programs by creation and deployment of best-in-class PM practices, process frameworks and governance. It employs lean and continuous improvement techniques, develops best in class digital toolchains and collaborates globally across functions including Engineering, Finance, Operations, SCM, HR and Product Management.
This role will provide expert support in managing and overseeing the financial aspects of projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, compliance with financial matrices & regulations. Other duties include creating tools and processes for Portfolio Management, Waterlining & Profit planning, Capacity & Demand, Resource and budget planning, rate Matrix allocation etc. This role demands deep Finance and PM expertise, high levels of accountability and extensive Change Management skills. The person in this role will be tasked with co-creating and executing the PM vision across businesses along with other functions (e.g. Finance, IT). This is a team member position who will be working closely with Global PMs, Finance leaders and the cross-functional teams to institute best in class Program Management & financial aspects."
"We are seeking a strategic and dynamic PMO - Program Manager I for Financial initiatives and integration with Portfolio Management Tool (e.g. ProPM). The ideal candidate will have over 15+ years of experience in Program and Portfolio Management. This role requires strong Program Management & Finance background with the ability to drive organizational success through effective program and portfolio management aligned to enterprise initiatives and culture of excellence.
- Financial Monitoring: Participate in framing strategies & Deployment of financial initiatives within Portfolio Management tool. Monitor project costing , create & implement EVM, analyze variances using data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement. Drive strategic corrective actions.
- Policy Development: Develop and implement PMO policies, procedures, best & next practices that drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with leadership and key stakeholders (Business Unit, IT, Finance etc.) ensuring effective communication and alignment of program and portfolio initiatives with business strategies.
- Innovation and Improvement: Drive innovation within the PMO, continuously seeking ways to improve processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Decision quality: Ability to estimate the work, identify bottlenecks, make good control decisions based on data, analysis, wisdom, experience, judgment and timely escalation. "
**Qualifications:**
"Bachelor's/ Master's in Engineering, MBA is preferred.
15+ years of program/ portfolio management experiences.
**Skills:**
Project Management Institute (PMI) accreditation preferably PMP or PfMP certified or equivalent.
Good financial acumen to include Project costing and control and EVM
Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills.
Experience of launching physical products following stage gate process.
Experience Working at a Divisional / Business level.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with PMO tools and software.(e.g. Clarity)
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
High level of personal and team accountability."
