Program Manager I, AMPV Production
**Job Description** BAE Systems is hiring a Program Manager (PM) for our Combat Mission Systems (CMS) business. This Program Manager I will be responsible for managing and delivering scope on our Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV) Production program. The role reports directly to the AMPV Program Manager. This position will focus on various areas of production where you will work with a cross-functional team to ensure the program meets schedule, operates within budget, and at the expected level of quality. Location/Schedule/Travel: + This position will be based in York, Pennsylvania or Sterling Heights, MI. + The role works on a 9/80 schedule where you will have every other Friday off + This position will involve 10% of travel, based on business needs. **Program Manager I will be responsible for:** + Supporting AMPV program s organization, planning, program management, and change management according to BAE Systems Life Cycle Management (LCM) and Business Management System (BMS) processes + Managing and supporting scope to achieve cost/profitability, schedule, and technical performance objectives + Working with and leading the matrixed team delivering the scope (engineering, quality, operations, supply chain, manufacturing, and/or others) + Monitoring and controlling activities on current contracts including disciplined, effective change management + Actively and effectively managing risks and opportunities + Making timely decisions with sound judgment while complying with policies and procedures + Developing and executing program/project plans specifying goals, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources + Understanding and communicating program Earned Value Management metrics and processes throughout the team + Leading the development of and preparation of proposals in response to various customer requests + Managing post-delivery support such as retrofit activities and closure of contract actions **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience. + Demonstrated leadership skills in development of project proposals, with the ability to work across functional boundaries and build a team are required. + Demonstrated ability to act independently within established guidelines. + Experience in managing technical baseline and contract changes. + Demonstrated ability to engage cross-functional teams to understand program requirements and deliver required products on time. + Demonstrated experience with some but not all aspects of program management including schedule estimating, cost estimating, change management, earned value management, production/prototype planning. + Demonstrated ability to work with personnel in the following areas to plan and execute programs: contracts, engineering, finance, facilities, logistics, material planning, supply chain, quality, and USG agencies including DCMA US Army, and Program Management Mounted Armored Vehicles (PM MAV). + Demonstrated ability to manage interpersonal relations and conflicts. + Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and delegate. + Ability to effectively represent the Company / Program(s). + Excellent oral and written communication skills. + Highly proficient with Microsoft suite, excellent written and verbal skill, proficient communicator, and problem solving skills. **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Broad knowledge of Finance, Operations, Manufacturing, Program/Project Management, and General Management. + Experience with US Army product development, production, and fielding processes. + Association with organizations for project management (e.g. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or similar). + Experience with US Army Programs management. + Knowledge of Military Operations and Government Procurement System. **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $120874 - $205486 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
