Program Manager - Artillery

We are hiring (quantity two) Program Manager II to join our team and assume a lead role in Combat Mission Systems. Location/Schedule/Travel: + This role will ideally be based at the BAE Systems site in York, PA; Sterling Heights, MI; though open to other US locations + This will be an Onsite Hybrid position where you go onsite a minimum of 3 days weekly, based on business needs + This role will work a 9/80 schedule where you will have every other Friday off, based on business needs + This position will require 25% of travel; if location is not a desired BAE site, travel will increase to 50% Responsibilities: + Serve as a trusted program leader responsible for profit and loss and serve as an internal management interface + You will be responsible for program performance including cost, schedule, quality, technical, and supply chain performance + Manage multiple elements of projects/programs that are highly complex in scope and strategic importance, throughout the project/program lifecycle + Identify, define, combine, unify, and document the various project management activities captured in project plans to include consolidation and articulation of integrated activities, interfaces, milestones, and deliverables + Research project/program requirements to identify essential needs + Integrate adjacent IR&D/CAPEX programs/data that support program objectives + Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel, identifying and resolving issues and conflicts within the project team + Plan, prioritize, direct, and document project/program scope to include all the required work to complete the project/program successfully after defining project success criteria, capturing project/program and product scope in a work breakdown structure, obtaining project/program acceptance, and monitoring, controlling, and communicating the status + Proactively manage changes in project scope + Actively lead and or participate in proposal/request for Equitable Adjustment (REA) activities + Plan, analyze, maintain, and monitor cost control for assigned projects/programs + Maintain budget responsibilities and accountability for profit and loss of contracts and for the technical support of products + Evaluate and suggest practices and procedures across the Line of Business to promote greater cost effectiveness and efficiency + Plan, identify, analyze, monitor, and control risks and opportunities on a project + Assess metrics for risk and opportunity management, including risk and opportunity response planning such as contingency planning and allocation + Proactively mitigates risks while identifying opportunities + Carefully evaluate risks and makes sound decisions in the absence of detailed information + Recognize innovative insights and implement innovative and creative solutions + Forward-thinking acting early to seize opportunities or avoid problems + Prepare and deliver oral or written project progress reports and briefings for management and internal or external customers + Actively promote a culture of safety and personal well-being + Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience or equivalent experience + Experience in Program/Project Management, leading complex P&L programs, program life cycle reviews, and financial reporting and analysis + Experience in Product Design/Development/Production, from a technical, operational, or management perspective + Experience in People Management/Leadership, leading and integrating diverse, matrixed teams + Experience in Program Risk and Opportunity Management, identifying and developing risk mitigation plans + Experience in Competitive Proposal Development, translating customer requirements and organizational capabilities into customized solutions + Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM), forecasting, monitoring, and integrating cross-functional resources to deliver on quality, schedule, and budget parameters + Ability to adapt to a high-volume workload + Ability to prioritize and multitask + Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing + Excellent organizational and follow-through skills + Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills + Strong communication and presentation skills + Microsoft Office proficient **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + MBA or Master s Degree + PMP Certification + Experience in leading complex programs for tracked combat vehicles + Experience in Lethality, Mobility, or SW/Vetronics + Experience with PMSPHS customer and ACC contracting + Knowledge of Army operations and use of M109 FOV in relevant tactical environment + Understanding requirements development process + Broad knowledge of Engineering, Finance, Logistics, and General Management **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $133333 - $226667 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
