Program Manager - AMPV Production

**Job Description**
BAE Systems is hiring a Production Program Manager for the Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV) program supporting our Combat Mission Systems (CMS) business. The Program Manager, reporting to the Ground Maneuver Product Line Leader, is responsible for profit and loss on this highly complex program involving the production of five AMPV variants at the BAE Systems York, PA facility. In this role you will manage, coordinate, plan, organize, control, integrate, and execute the AMPV Production program. You will provide a competitive advantage to the company by managing the program's defined scope on schedule, within budget, and at the expected level of quality. You will develop program plans that address the life-cycle of the program. Serve as the primary point of contact and manage stakeholder communications with cross-functional teams, customers, and BAE Systems management on programmatic issues. Model and demonstrate strong leadership in ethics, safety, quality, and security.
Location/Schedule/Travel:
+ This position will be based in York, Pennsylvania
+ This is a Hybrid role where you will work onsite on average 3 days a week and remote 2 days a week, based on business needs
+ This position will involve 25% of travel, on average one week each month, based on business needs
Responsibilities:
+ Ensure achievement of financial, technical, and schedule objectives of the program
+ Ensures alignment between the cross functional team to meet objectives
+ Ensure communication between the Proposal, STS, and Production teams to properly plan future production impacts
+ Provide senior leadership updates on the state of the program on a monthly and ad hoc basis
+ Serve as the primary point of contact and manages stakeholder communications with cross-functional teams, customers, and BAE Systems management on programmatic issues
+ Drive issues to resolution through the cross functional team
+ Identify best practices across the business and implement into the AMPV production program as appropriate
+ Manage scope to achieve cost/profitability, schedule, and technical performance objectives
+ Perform as a Control Account Manager (CAM)
+ Establish program direction for the matrixed team delivering the scope (operations including supply chain and manufacturing, engineering, and/or others)
+ Proactively plan for activities on current and future contracts
+ Actively and effectively manage risks and opportunities
+ Indirectly manage, lead, and develop program team members across several functions
+ Make timely decisions with sound judgment while complying with policies and procedures
+ Meet financial commitments for orders, sales, profit, and cash flow
+ Coach and mentor program managers with the AMPV program
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Bachelor s Degree and 12 years of experience or equivalent experience
+ Experience in Program Management with the ability to manage coordinate, plan, organize, control, integrate, and execute a project or collection of projects
+ Experience in Program Management including requirements management, schedule estimating, cost estimating, Risk and Opportunity Management, and Earned Value Management
+ Experience in Program Leadership within a large, complex, multi-functional, geographically dispersed organization
+ Experience in People Management/Leadership with the ability to fosters an inclusive workplace in which all individuals thrive and perform at their best
+ Strong business acumen enabling achievement of financial, schedule, technical, and new business performance objectives
+ Executive presence and ability to represent the enterprise internally at senior levels and externally to senior level customers and suppliers
+ Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with senior level leaders, customers, and suppliers
+ Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders across multiple contracts and/or program activities
+ Demonstrated ability to engage cross-functional teams to understand multiple product structures to develop strategies for planning and executing the work to minimize duplicate/overlapping activities
+ Demonstrated ability to work with internal/external stakeholders to plan and execute programs and deliver program requirements, including contracts, engineering, finance, facilities, logistics, material planning, supply chain, quality, and USG agencies including DCMA and TACOM
+ Ability to manage performance to ensure completion of deliverables and on-time delivery
+ Ability to lead, manage, and influence stakeholders
+ Ability to act independently within established guidelines
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Good presentation skills
+ Strong problem solving skills
+ Highly proficient with Microsoft suite
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ MBA or Masters Degree
+ PMP Certified
+ Experience in Product Development and Production Program Management for Combat Vehicles
+ Experience in USG/Army acquisition, planning, budgeting, and requirements
+ Experience in Program Controls, Performance Management, KPIs, and Metrics
+ Knowledge of Government Procurement System
+ Understanding of USG acquisition, planning, and budgeting processes
+ Understanding of USG requirements process
+ Ability to creatively problem-solve and implement lessons learned
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $150370 - $255630
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
