Program Manager
Job Description An employer is looking for a Sr. Program Manager for one of our top Utility Clients. The Program Manager will lead a high-profile, multi-year transformation program to modernize field technology and operations for a major utility. This includes the replacement of legacy systems with Salesforce Field Service, deployment of new mobile devices, and integration of advanced connectivity solutions. The Program Manager will serve as the primary liaison between the business, field teams, executive leadership, and the System Integrator (SI), ensuring successful delivery, adoption, and measurable value. Key Responsibilities - Oversee end-to-end program delivery, from planning and kickoff through execution and closeout. - Partner with the SI to ensure alignment, accountability, and value. Maintaining program focus. - Lead stakeholder engagement, including executive sponsors, field teams, and cross-functional partners. - Coordinate and participate in on-site visits, workshops, and field interviews to understand user needs and pain points. - Manage program timelines, risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating as needed. - Provide clear, concise updates to steering committees and executive leadership. - Ensure program financial accountability (with support from finance), tracking budgets in the $30–40M range. - Foster a collaborative, resilient, and results-oriented team culture. Skills and Requirements - 10+ years of experience in a Program Management role - Proven experience leading large-scale, multi-year transformation programs in the utility sector (field technology, operations, or similar). - Hands-on experience with Salesforce Field Service (SFS) or comparable field operations platforms. - Strong understanding of utility business processes and field operations. - Demonstrated success partnering with System Integrators on complex technology deployments. - Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, including executive-level reporting. - Ability to navigate ambiguity, drive consensus, and maintain accountability in high-stakes environments. - Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% (more at project start and key milestones); preference for candidates able to work on-site in Minneapolis or Denver three days per week. Budget awareness and accountability for large program spend (with financial support available). - Resilience, tact, and the ability to manage strong personalities and competing priorities. - Prior work on utility transformation programs involving both technology and business process change. - Experience working in both business and technology stakeholder groups.
