Kforce is working with a client in search of a Program Manager in Pittsburgh, PA. This role is responsible for the successful definition, implementation, and delivery of complex programs that require cross-functional collaboration and interdependencies between a group of projects and/or related activities. The work is conducted within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and budget, and under circumstances involving multiple moderate-probability, moderate-impact risk factors. The position manages a matrix group of employees and contractors who serve on project teams and/or within departmental work groups to achieve coordinated outcomes. Responsibilities: * Collaborate with leadership to assemble project teams and work groups to produce deliverables required to achieve the objectives of a defined corporate program * Lead project managers and work group leaders in the development and maintenance of comprehensive plans for a defined program * Organize, direct, and coordinate cross-functional activities to focus organizational resources on the successful delivery and implementation of desired results for a defined program or strategic initiative * Work with executive sponsors and other management as required to achieve program objectives; Acquire a detailed understanding of the business goals for the assigned area * Monitor and evaluate the progress, alignment, and financial health of a cross-functional group of projects and related activities * Direct corrective actions as needed to maintain program viability * Report to executive leadership or steering committees on progress, business impacts, and strategies * Assess risks that might jeopardize successful achievement of program goals, develop mitigation strategies, and implement risk plans * Partner with procurement as needed to develop and execute strategies related to service or asset contracts * Manage vendor relationships in accordance with contract and statement of work requirements
