Job Description
The Program Manager will coordinate project tasks and engineering milestones to ensure that deadlines are met within the agreed time frame and budget. This role involves managing project tasks for development projects, focusing on new orders and contracts, rather than the build-to-print or contract manufacturing side of the business. The Program Manager will lead and coordinate the technical scope with software engineers, firmware engineers, and electrical engineers, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and in alignment with the company's quality standards and procedures.
ResponsibilitiesCoordinate project tasks and engineering milestones.Manage project tasks for development projects focusing on new orders and contracts.Lead and coordinate technical scope with various engineering teams.Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.Partner with engineers to discuss design and engineering choices for profitability and scheduled timelines.Manage communication between subcontractors, internal partners, and customers.Essential Skills5+ years experience in Project Management, Program Management or Project Engineering for development and R&D projects.Experience leading projects with technical scope, partnering with software, firmware, and electrical engineers.Direct experience managing budget, schedule, timelines for deliverables, and customer communication.Additional Skills & QualificationsPreferred experience with government programs, especially in space and defense sectors.Experience with project planning for development projects, including budget, cost, and scheduling.Knowledge of space, aerospace, avionics systems, defense aerospace, and AS9100 standards.Work Environment
The work environment is a small site with an office space, assembly, and lab area located in a modest office building within a small business park, sharing the park with Maxar Technologies. The company specializes in space avionics and sensor systems, serving commercial, space, and defense markets. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00/hr.
