We provide Cisco with tailored security monitoring services to protect the company from cyber-attacks and the loss of its intellectual assets. The primary mission of SVIC is to ensure company, system, and data preservation by performing comprehensive investigations into computer security incidents. Our mission also extends to assisting in the prevention of such incidents by engaging in root cause analysis, dedicated threat assessment, mitigation planning, and architectural review. SVIC is a highly skilled, diverse, and globally distributed group of outstanding professionals from a wide variety of technical backgrounds. We are open-source software contributors, technical authors, tool builders, DFIR community members, lock pickers, makers, and breakers. **Who You Are:** SVIC is looking for an experienced program manager to join our Client and Service Management team. This is an opportunity to contribute to a highly transparent security operations function with global impact upon Cisco, its diversified business, business units, service ventures, partners, and customers. The successful candidate will have experience running complex programs and projects for large organizations and reporting complex information in briefing to senior leaders. We are looking for motivated candidates with experience in leading, communicating, and driving all elements of the Incident Management. Successful program managers will possess a broad technical knowledge and an interest in learning new technologies, in order to help drive technical programs and make accurate, informed decisions at both the strategic and technical team lead levels. An outstanding program manager will excel at multitasking and lead our programs without significant oversight. **What You’ll Do:** + Manage the implementation of security monitoring services. + Lead SVIC client engagement and onboarding activities across Cisco business units. + Coordinate multiple projects and/or teams in parallel to meet organizational priorities. + Plan, execute, and monitor programs throughout the program life cycle to support the strategic direction of the organization. + Manage program schedule, scope, and resources, adjusting to new requirements and constraints over the program lifecycle. + Plan and implement program governance structures in an organized and controlled fashion to ensure that decision making is occurring with the right people involved. + Regular communication of program delivery results and financial reporting to program stakeholders. + Ongoing communications and change management supporting program objectives, adoption and maturity. + Identification, monitoring, and control of program risk, issues, and escalations. + Identification, monitoring and control of the interdependencies between projects. + Upskill, retrain, and develop the team as needed to address all the resource requirements. **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelors with 7+ years of experience, OR Masters with 4 + years of experience in project/program management, incident management, and/or cybersecurity. + **4+ years** of experience handling **technical incidents** , managing escalations, and communicating effectively with clients/customers. + Demonstrated hands-on experience with **tracking tools** such as **Microsoft 365** , **Jira** , and **ServiceNow** . **Preferred Qualifications** + Proven experience in **leadership roles** (e.g., project management, incident management, or tech lead) with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. + ITIL foundation certification preferred + PMP certification desired + Able to understand and communicate the technical elements of a security incident/investigation concisely and effectively to a wide audience (verbal and written) + Competence and desire to learn quickly on new technologies as they become relevant + Strong analytical, interpersonal, relationship management, and time management skills + Ability to collaborate with a worldwide team to accomplish our goals + Knowledge of adversary techniques, threat-modelling frameworks, and security concepts (SANS GSEC, GCIH, and/or CISSP certifications preferred) + Understand roles and responsibilities of other teams and how best to apply their skills in the resolution of security incidents **Why Cisco?** \#WeAreCisco. Exempt new hires participate in Cisco’s flexible Vacation Time Off policy, which does not place a defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use, but is subject to availability and some business limitations. All new hires are eligible for Sick Time Off subject to Cisco’s Sick Time Off Policy and will have eighty (80) hours of sick time off provided on their hire date and on January 1st of each year thereafter. Up to 80 hours of unused sick time will be carried forward from one calendar year to the next such that the maximum number of sick time hours an employee may have available is 160 hours. Employees in Illinois have a unique time off program designed specifically with local requirements in mind. All employees also have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows: .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota; 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%; 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
