Program Manager – NPD & Operations

The Program Manager, NPD & Operations will lead cross-functional teams including Production, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Product Management, IT, Supply Chain, Engineering, and others to deliver on new product development, value engineering, key business programs, and process improvement initiatives utilizing structured project management techniques and collaboration skills in support of the Allegion Queretaro, Mexico manufacturing facility.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (others may be added):

Works closely with Product Managers and Program Management Office Leadership to establish and prioritize a portfolio of programs, initiatives’ objectives, scope/requirements, dependencies, resource needs as well as success metrics for each.Leads cross-functional teams including Production, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Product Management, IT, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance and other functions to establish project execution strategy, schedule, budget, and resource needs to achieve them.Continuously monitors and drives project activities, risk mitigation, and issue resolution to ensure programs progress on schedule and within budget while meeting program objectives and metrics.Works directly with the team and functional leadership as needed to drive issues to closure and appropriately escalate issues and mitigation recommendations to upper management as needed.Resolves people and team dynamic issues for effective performance and cross-functional handoffs.Works with other program managers on interdependencies or conflicts with other simultaneous projects.Schedules and leads timely status review meetings, and formal project Reviews with Senior Management.Coaches program team members on the Allegion Product Development Process and project management fundamentals.Ability to travel up to 20% at various times throughout the year, domestically and internationally, as needed.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS or KNOWLEDGE:

Experience in product-centric programs from concept to production using a structured process.Proven problem-solving skills, techniques and tool selection.Excellent leadership and communication skills at all levels within the organization.Business acumen and experience in business tradeoffs.Tenacity in coordination of project team members to achieve program timelines and outcomes.Self-starter with a desire to make a significant impact on project execution, processes and tools.Courage to raise issues and recommendations to upper management when a program is at risk.Good understanding of consumer products, software, and hardware development preferred.Experience with Microsoft Office tools, including project management software required

EDUCATION and/or WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s degree in operations, business, or engineeringMinimum of 5 years’ experience in Program Management, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience leading cross-functional teamsProject Management Professional, Lean Six Sigma, or other Program Management Certifications and/or Enterprise Excellence preferredExperience with Agile Methodologies a plusWe Celebrate Who We Are!
