BACKGROUND: The IRC’s Resettlement, Asylum, and Integration (RAI) department creates opportunities for refugees and other vulnerable migrants to survive and thrive in America. RAI serves more than 40,000 individuals each year through a diverse portfolio of programs aimed at five core outcomes: Health, Safety, Economic Wellbeing, Education and Power.
The IRC recognizes that private grants provide critical resources for refugee families in their journey toward safety and stability. As the Program Manager on the Resource Acquisition & Management team, you will support the implementation and management of a selection of IRC’s private grants across RAI’s U.S. offices, with an emphasis on grants from IRC’s technology partners. You will oversee grant usage, support reporting requirements, and liaise with internal and external parties to distribute resources. The Program Manager will also support other business development and grant management activities for RAI offices as needed.
Responsibilities:
+ Manage grant reporting processes and deliverables as required by donors
+ Provide regular oversight and tracking of office spending on private grants
+ Onboard and train new staff on relevant technology platforms required for private grant implementation
+ Work with local office staff on tech platform problems and other troubleshooting issues
+ Create and update internal resources in alignment with donor guidelines
+ Communicate regularly with local offices on grant updates, reminders, and usage
+ Coordinate with RAI HQ teams, the Corporate Partnerships team, and other internal parties to distribute resources effectively
+ Support donor relationships by providing regular feedback to the Corporate Partnerships team and contributing to donor-facing reports and meetings
+ Support local offices in other private business development and grant management activities as needed
+ Contribute to the RAM team mission of ensuring efficient and compliant solicitation and management of resources, including grant funding and in-kind donations
+ Other Resource Acquisition & Management duties as assigned
+ Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience
Requirements:
+ Excellent project management skills, with a track record of coordinating multi-site projects
+ Strong oral and written communications skills.
+ Ability to diplomatically work with a range of stakeholders, understand requirements and build consensus
+ Comfortable with logistical tasks and a can-do attitude towards problem solving.
+ Strong relationship building, teamwork and communication skills.
+ Comfortable with donor-facing calls and meetings
+ Ability to work well in a multicultural environment, flexible and able to handle pressure well.
+ Experience organizing in-kind donations a plus.
+ Fluency in English is required.
Compensation:Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
