Ascension is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Program Manager to join the Portfolio & Program Management Office (PPMO) within the Growth Marketing & Digital Experience (GMDx) organization. Reporting to the Senior Director, Operations & PPMO, this role will support disciplined program execution, governance, and value realization across digital and marketing initiatives.
The Program Manager will coordinate program planning, facilitate cross-functional execution, and deliver transparent reporting on progress, risks, and value outcomes. They will work closely with GMDx teams across Research & Design, Product, Engineering, Strategy & Operations and Marketing, Ascension Technologies, and Market stakeholders to ensure initiatives are aligned to enterprise priorities and delivered with measurable impact.
The successful candidate will combine strong program management expertise with organizational, analytical, and communication skills. They must be able to manage complex programs in a fast-moving environment, bringing structure and rigor while enabling cross-discipline collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Program & Portfolio Support
Resource Planning & Tracking
Support program-level budget tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis in partnership with Finance.Monitor resource allocation and capacity planning for assigned initiatives.Change Management & Communication
Facilitate communication across teams, ensuring alignment on goals, priorities, and timelines.Support adoption of new operating models, planning cadences, and delivery practices.Continuous Improvement
Capture lessons learned and integrate feedback into improved processes and practices.Contribute to building a culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration across GMDx.RequirementsEducation:
High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.Work Experience:
3 years of experience required.5 years of experience preferred.1 year of leadership or management experience preferred.Additional Preferences Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, or related field.5–7 years of progressive experience in program or project management, preferably in large, matrixed organizations.Strong knowledge of program/portfolio management methodologies (SAFe, Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).Proven ability to manage complex programs with multiple stakeholders.Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills; able to prepare executive-ready presentations and reports.PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or other relevant certification preferred.Why Join Our TeamAscension associates are key to our commitment of transforming healthcare and providing care to all, especially those most in need.
