Primary Responsibilities

The Program Manager leads and advances KeHE’s Employee Benevolence Program during a time of rapid organization growth, ensuring employees receive compassionate, confidential, and timely support in moments of acute need. Acting as both a case manager and thought leader, the Benevolence Program Manager will set the strategy, systems, and partnerships to create a best-in-class program that reflects KeHE’s culture of excellence and care.  In addition to stewarding employee benevolence, the Manager will oversee the CAREstream program, an initiative that supports the holistic flourishing of our KeHE Cares partners.  As with all positions at KeHE, we expect that all actions will be consistent with KeHE’s Mission, Vision and Values.

Essential Functions Position Accountabilities

 

Benevolence

Program Development & Management

Design, implement, and continuously enhance KeHE’s Benevolence Program, including policies, guidelines, and technology systems.Manage the full intake, evaluation, and response process for employee benevolence requests, ensuring compassion, timeliness, fairness, and confidentiality.Collaborate with HR Business Partners and managers to identify employee needs and guide appropriate support.Build and steward relationships with external partners (counselors, financial advisors, nonprofit collaborators) that complement employee care.Track, analyze, and report on program data and outcomes to ensure accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement.

 

Employee Support & Care

Act as a compassionate point of contact, blending empathy with professional boundaries.Provide guidance and resources to employees navigating hardship while balancing policy and program sustainability.Inspire trust by maintaining confidentiality, consistency and dignity in every interaction.

 

 

 

Leadership & Engagement

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and employees Serve as a thought leader across KeHE on employee care, modeling the integration of compassion and accountability.Provide training and education to leaders and HR teams on identifying needs, referring employees, and supporting the program.Celebrate and communicate impact stories to reinforce KeHE’s culture of care.

CAREstream

Administration & Coordination

Maintain the master calendar of CAREstream offerings, ensuring all events, coaching sessions, retreats, and interventions are scheduled and communicated effectively.Develop clear processes for intake and engagement with CAREstream, serving as the central point of contact for scheduling, logistics, and communications with the KCF team, partners and providers.Ensure smooth daily operations of CAREstream (“all the trains are running on time”), proactively identifying opportunities to streamline or upgrade systems for scale.Primary admin of the GLOO Impact fund platform, ensuring the process functions effectively for participants and providers.

Tracking & Reporting

Partner Roster Management – Maintain an active, tiered roster of CAREstream care partners (coaches, counselors, facilitators, and collaborators), ensuring accurate records of involvement, capacity, and expertise.Develop and oversee tracking and reporting systems to capture participation, utilization, and outcomes of CAREstream offerings, preparing regular reports for the KeHE Cares leadership team and board.

Travel

Must be able to travel domestically and internationally for foundation activities up to 25%

Skilled in managing documentation, processes, and reporting systems with high attention to detail.Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage a wide variety of tasks simultaneously. Self-motivated with a track record of taking initiative and driving projects to completion with minimal supervision. Strong communication skills, with ability to convey information clearly, humbly, and empathetically. Comfortable collaborating with colleagues across departments and levels of leadership.Demonstrates high emotional maturity and empathy while maintaining professional boundaries.Handles sensitive and emotional conversations with care, balancing compassion with program guidelines.Builds trust and rapport with employees, HR partners, and leaders.Actis as a proactive team player, identifying opportunities for improvement, supporting team members and having the willingness to grow/stretch beyond perceived limitations. Education and Experience

 

High School Diploma or equivalentThree (3) years relevant experience (case management, employee care or related field)Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, or related field preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)Foundation experience desirableServing Trip experience desirableProject Management experience required

 

Physical Requirements

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stand; walk; talk or hear; and use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls, sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
