The Payments & Affordability team is seeking a data-driven and strategic Program Manager to own installments competitiveness across our marketplace. This role is critical to ensuring Amazon remains the preferred destination for customers seeking flexible payment options by benchmarking, tracking, and improving our installment offerings relative to market competitors.
You will be responsible for monitoring key KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) across installment programs, identifying gaps versus competitors, and driving improvements in partnership with Retail and 3P teams. You will partner with product teams to propose and prioritize product enhancements that strengthen our competitive positioning. You will communicate insights clearly and concisely to both business and technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities and trade-offs.
Key job responsibilities
- Competitive Intelligence & KPI Tracking: Own the end-to-end monitoring of installments competitiveness KPIs (coverage, depth, take-rate, conversion lift, price parity). Build and maintain dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track performance against market benchmarks.
- Improvement Initiatives with Retail & 3P: Partner with Retail and 3P business teams to identify and execute levers that improve installment competitiveness—including coverage expansion, fee optimization, and seller/vendor enrollment strategies.
- Product Enhancement Proposals: Collaborate with product teams to translate competitive gaps and customer pain points into actionable product requirements. Propose, prioritize, and track product enhancements through the development lifecycle.
- Market Analysis & Benchmarking: Conduct regular competitive analysis of installment offerings across key players (banks, fintechs, retailers). Synthesize findings into narratives that inform strategic decisions and roadmap prioritization.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Drive alignment across Retail, 3P, Product, and Finance teams on competitiveness goals, trade-offs, and investment priorities. Facilitate regular reviews and escalate blockers proactively.
- Program Reporting & Communication: Deliver weekly/monthly competitiveness updates, executive summaries, and deep-dive analyses. Anticipate risks, provide clear recommendations, and drive decision-making with data.
