**The Internship Program** :
The Program Management Summer Internship Program is a 13-week program that offers participants a unique and exciting opportunity to gain real-world experience within a global defense & commercial contractor. Interns will experience challenging work assignments as well as comprehensive training and mentoring opportunities. Each intern will have the ability to interact with senior/executive level leadership through networking events, one-on-one meetings, and the end of term project.
In this position, you will participate in BAE Systems nationwide LEAP Internship & Co-op Program, where you will Learn, Engage, Apply, and Progress within the company. The LEAP Program will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on impactful projects, engage in career development opportunities, and network with our business leaders and the other students in the program.
**Job Summary:**
As a Program Management Summer Intern, you will play a critical role in supporting our program management team in delivering high-impact projects that protect and serve those who protect our nation. This internship is designed to provide you with hands-on experience in program management, allowing you to contribute to our mission while developing valuable skills and knowledge. You will work closely with our program managers to ensure projects are executed efficiently, effectively, and within budget.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Assist program managers in planning, coordinating, and executing projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives
+ Support the development and maintenance of project schedules, resource allocation plans, and budgets
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, logistics, and operations, to ensure seamless project execution
+ Analyze project data, identify trends, and provide insights to inform program decisions
+ Develop and maintain project documentation, including status reports, meeting minutes, and project plans
+ Participate in project meetings, provide updates, and ensure stakeholders are informed
+ Assist in identifying and mitigating project risks, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
+ Contribute to the development of program management processes and procedures
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Must have completed Sophomore year of a 4 year college degree program
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $44002 - $59452
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20 hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
