Description We are looking for a dedicated Program Leader to join our team in Goleta, California. In this contract position, you will play a vital role in overseeing youth programs and ensuring a positive experience for participants and their families. This role involves managing day-to-day activities, supporting program goals, and fostering a collaborative environment. Responsibilities: • Supervise and guide a group of scholars (grades 3-6) and Counselors in Training (grades 10-12), while providing support for all site participants. • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities and programs for youth. • Implement positive behavior management techniques to create a supportive atmosphere. • Maintain and organize classroom spaces, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for daily activities. • Collaborate regularly with the Site Coordinator and team to align on program objectives. • Collect and provide accurate data and feedback for surveys and evaluations. • Represent the program positively to funders, employers, and the broader community. • Facilitate pre- and post-program evaluations to measure program impact. • Attend all required meetings and training sessions. • Perform additional on-site or office tasks as needed to support program operations. Requirements • Experience working with children in educational or recreational settings. • Strong skills in project management and organizational planning. • Familiarity with teaching methods and youth development principles. • Background in managing or participating in camp or youth programs. • Ability to maintain positive relationships with program participants, staff, and partners. • Competence in data collection and reporting to support program evaluation. • Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset. • Flexibility to adapt to various tasks and responsibilities as needed.
