We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering Program Lead to drive large-scale data transformation initiatives with strategic impact. This role requires a hands-on leader who can operate independently, manage complexity, and deliver results with minimal oversight. The ideal candidate combines strong technical acumen with exceptional leadership, communication, and execution skills.
You'll work across business, technology, and leadership teams to align priorities, manage dependencies, and ensure timely delivery of data engineering programs that enable analytics, AI, and digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
. Lead end-to-end delivery of complex data engineering and transformation programs across multiple teams and business units.
. Operate independently to identify priorities, remove blockers, and ensure execution stays on track.
. Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and escalations to maintain program momentum.
. Partner with data architects, engineers, product owners, and business leaders to define and deliver data-driven outcomes.
. Build strong relationships and influence decisions across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
. Foster a collaborative, accountable culture—integrating closely with cross-functional teams rather than operating as a support function.
. Translate strategic objectives into actionable program plans, timelines, and measurable KPIs.
. Communicate progress and outcomes clearly to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
. 15+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, or data-driven transformation programs.
. Proven ability to lead large, cross-functional initiatives with limited direction.
. Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills across business and technical teams.
. Demonstrated success in driving execution, managing ambiguity, and delivering results under tight timelines.
. Experience with modern data technologies (e.g., cloud platforms, data lakes, pipelines, governance frameworks).
. Track record of proactive problem-solving, anticipating challenges, and implementing solutions without requiring ongoing oversight.
. Deep understanding of program governance, delivery frameworks, and risk management.
