Job Summary
Provides accountable leadership, administration, and management of system-wide programs for well-being, provider burnout reduction and professionalism. Develops, implements, and evaluates strategic well-being initiatives, with a focus on integrating those initiatives into enterprise-level practices. Establishes comprehensive approach to well-being utilizing operational, clinical, and financial data in program design, implementation, and evaluation. Works with other operational departments as well as external customers. Builds relationships with key stakeholders across the Clinical Enterprise, strategic partners, and the community. Responsible for daily operations of all functional components of well-being and professionalism, including staff, software systems development, reporting, interface with other the operational departments, policies, and procedures.
Job Duties
+ In conjunction with the Chief Wellness Officer, develops enterprise well-being strategy and identifies/implements tactics that support the strategy.
+ Assists in development and maintenance of the strategic plan for design and delivery of burnout reduction, community building, resilience, mental well-being, and professionalism programming in alignment with enterprise strategic initiatives and key metrics of success.
+ Supports the Chief Wellness Officer in executing on the operational elements of the enterprise well-being strategy, including but not limited to implementation of enterprise-wide assessment, cross-functional development of new workstreams, and alignment of current resources to future needs.
+ Provides direct supervision, oversees and assures timely completion of project work, develops standards of performance, and creates comprehensive professional development plans for Center staff.
+ Assures delivery of optimal staff development programs that meet the needs of new staff as well as the continued development of seasoned staff.
+ Serves as accountable operational leader for all Center programs, ensuring, efficiency, effectiveness, and internal customer service.
+ Oversees and develops solutions for on-site support of Geisinger employees, and identifies opportunities to grow services in areas of need.
+ Partners with program coordinators to review program activities, seek out opportunities for improvement, and design strategies for operationalizing changes.
+ Develops and oversees the implementation of a comprehensive library of utilization and outcomes metrics related to well-being and professionalism.
+ Maintains financial forecasting of expenditures and oversees feasibility analysis and budget development for both internally and externally funded projects.
+ Serves as accountable leader overseeing contracted vendor partnerships and national-level policy impacts on healthcare employee burnout and mental health.
+ Designs and completes grants to secure additional funding to test new models in workforce well-being.
+ Assures compliance of plan designs including employee confidentiality and documentation and assures compliance with regulatory agencies.
+ Serves as a Center liaison to system leadership, system departments, and external stakeholders, building crucial relationships for collaboration and support integration.
Work is typically performed in an office environment. Travel may be required. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
