Program Director
Position Overview\nChildren of America (COA) is seeking a dynamic, energetic, and experienced Program Director to lead COA Xtreme, our specialized enrichment and movement-based program designed to support children's physical development, confidence, and joy in movement.\n
\nThe Program Director will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing a variety of high-quality programs, including Summer Camp, Preschool Enrichment, Jump Nights, and Before & After School (B&A) programming. This role blends leadership, curriculum planning, staff supervision, and hands-on instruction in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.\n
\nThis is a full-time leadership role ideal for someone with a passion for child development, movement education, and foundational gymnastics skills.\n
\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProgram Development & Implementation\nDesign, implement, and manage a variety of engaging programs, including:\nCOA Xtreme Summer Camp\nPreschool enrichment and movement programs\nJump Nights and special events\nBefore & After School (B&A) programming\nCreate age-appropriate lesson plans focused on tumbling, balance, coordination, and basic motor skill development\nEnsure programs align with COA's philosophy, safety standards, and developmental best practices\nContinuously evaluate and enhance programming based on engagement, enrollment, and feedback\nInstruction & Child Engagement\nProvide hands-on instruction in basic gymnastics skills, including:\nTumbling fundamentals\nBalance and body control\nGross motor skill development\nAdapt activities to meet the needs of different ages and ability levels\nFoster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment where children feel confident and supported\nLeadership & Staff Management\nHire, train, schedule, and supervise program staff\nModel best practices in instruction, safety, and classroom\/program management\nProvide coaching, feedback, and professional development to team members\nEnsure appropriate staff-to-child ratios at all times\nOperations & Safety\nMaintain a safe, clean, and organized program space\nEnsure compliance with all state licensing, COA policies, and safety regulations\nOversee equipment use, inspections, and storage\nPartner with COA leadership to manage budgets, supplies, and scheduling\nFamily & Community Engagement\nCommunicate program offerings, schedules, and expectations to families\nSupport enrollment growth through engaging programming and positive family experiences\nAssist with special events, demonstrations, and community engagement opportunities\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nPrevious experience as a Program Director, Coach, or Lead Instructor\nBackground in early childhood education, physical education, or youth programming\nCPR\/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)\nExperience planning camps, enrichment programs, or after-school programs\nFamiliarity with licensing or regulatory requirements in youth programs\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nBasic gymnastics background, specifically in:\nTumbling\nBalance\nFoundational motor skills\nExperience working with children in group settings (early childhood, school-age, camps, or enrichment programs)\nStrong leadership and organizational skills\nAbility to plan and execute multiple programs simultaneously\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\nPassion for child development and movement-based learning\n\nPhysical Requirements\n\nAbility to actively participate in movement-based activities\nAbility to demonstrate basic tumbling and motor skills\nAbility to lift, move, and set up equipment as needed\nAbility to stand, walk, and engage with children for extended periods\n\nWhy Join COA Xtreme\n\nBe part of a nationally recognized early childhood organization\nLead a signature program focused on movement, confidence, and fun\nOpportunity to build and grow innovative programs\nSupportive leadership and collaborative team environment\n\n

The Base pay rate range for this position is $45,000 to $50,000 annually. Final compensation will be based on experience, skills, location, and internal equity. This role may also be eligible for performance-based incentives or other benefits.\n
