Description

 

This recruitment is being conducted to fill a temporary assignment and not being conducted to establish an eligibility list from which regular appointments will be made, as such this recruitment may close at any time. Employees hired in this capacity are considered at will and do not accrue property interest in the assignment and are not eligible for benefits.

 

There is currently one temporary part-time position (20 hr./week) located at the District Administrative Center (DAC).

 

This pool may also be used to fill temporary vacancies at Moorpark, Oxnard and Ventura Colleges.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

 

Under the general direction of the Director of Training and Organizational Development, the program coordinator plays a vital role in supporting a dynamic and expanding portfolio of employee development initiatives across a three-college district. This individual will help implement and evaluate districtwide training programs, leadership cohorts, onboarding resources, and grant-supported initiatives-all designed to cultivate an inclusive workplace culture, continuous organizational learning, and a strong sense of belonging. The successful candidate will bring not only excellent organizational and communication skills, but also a deep sense of empathy, compassion, and emotional intelligence. Working regularly with senior leaders and diverse employee groups, the coordinator must balance professionalism and discretion with authentic warmth and interpersonal care. They will also be responsible for developing and delivering effective presentations to diverse audiences and supporting others in doing the same. Additional responsibilities include coordinating logistics, tracking participation and outcomes, preparing reports, and contributing to the design and evaluation of learning initiatives. This is an ideal role for someone who is as comfortable managing details as they are connecting with people-someone who leads with heart, while holding high standards for quality, equity, and service.

 

Representative Duties

 

Coordinate program activities to ensure that the program's goals, objectives, and timelines are met and in alignment with the District's and program's priorities, objectives, policies, and standards.EMonitor the program budget and make recommendations regarding the allocation of resources and expenditure of funds. ECoordinate the collection and analysis of data; participate in the preparation and submission of fiscal reports, program plans, progress reports, and other narrative and statistical reports as required and in accordance with District and external-agency requirements. ECommunicate the objectives, progress, and outcomes of the program initiatives to faculty, staff, students, administrators, university and high school partners, and/or the community; maintain open and regular communications with all project stakeholders. EEstablish regional collaborative relationships and partnerships with business entities, community organizations, and local educational agencies. EResearch and identify grants and other funding opportunities; write, edit, review, monitor and/or evaluate grant proposals/applications. EDevelop and implement an effective system of evaluation for the program and its activities. EDevelop and deliver presentations to various audiences. EServe as a district representative on various committees associated with the program. EIntegrate best practices of the project into institutional operation by the end of the program. EProvide guidance and technical direction to project personnel. EPerform other duties as assigned.E= Essential duties

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

1) A bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university AND two years of experience coordinating grants, projects, or programs of comparable complexity to the administrative assignment.OR2) A graduate degree from a recognized college or university AND one year of experience coordinating grants, projects, or programs of comparable complexity to the administrative assignment.
