**Job Description** **Harborview Medical Center - 5NJB Neurosciences** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Full-time Days Program Coordinator-for Sports Medicine.** **WORK SCHEDULE** + Full-time, 100% FTE (40 hours per week) + Day Shift + Monday- Friday 730am-500pm **POSITION HIGHLIGHTS** + Conveniently located near public transportation + Make a difference for the patients and employees we serve + Opportunity to provide career growth **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** • Review and prioritize incoming referrals from multiple sources using their knowledge of each physician’s specialized skill set • Triage incoming referrals to assure the appropriate specialist will be reviewing referrals • Handle intake of each referral requests, ensuring complete information is received and entered into the electronic medical record system in a timely manner • Schedule initial patient appointments either in person or via Telemedicine based on provider and patient preference • Coordinates appointments for the patient at the appropriate facility and assists with urgent insurance authorization or financial assistance • Manage and resolve a high volume of phone inquiries and messages • Review appointment follow-up requirements and expectations with patients. Educate them to ensure adequate understanding of the purpose of each appointment and follow-up recommendations • Offer financial assistance to self-pay and underinsured patients. Provide them with the necessary steps to apply for financial counseling • Serve as a primary program contact to other departments, patients, providers outside facilities **REQUIREMENTS** + High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty.
