This team supports the Marysville, Gainesville, and Gray Court ZF sites. **What to look forward to as a Program Buyer II: Position is located in Marysville or Northville, MI** + Support projects through procurement of all materials needed for a particular end product. + Support the implementation of the ZF commodity strategies. + Manage the whole purchasing process for new products or localization of existing products through supplier search, Bill of Material cost management; support the commodity organization in their request for quotations, commercial negotiations, contractual agreements including warranty and consignment agreements, prototype orders, and purchase orders and/or scheduling agreements. + Monitor the performance of the suppliers during program launch and through product life cycle. + Continuously review cost performance to target; nominate parts for Global Competitive Sourcing. + Analyze North American supply base to prepare and recommend suppliers to be added/removed from the approved supplier list as well as nominate suppliers for the Strategic Supplier List. + Perform market research and monitor changes/trends for purposes of benchmarking and cost controlling. + Track costs through life cycle of product, while maintaining detailed cost tracking with suppliers. **Your profile as a Program Buyer II:** + Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or Business Administration, Economics or related field + 3 - 6 years of relevant experience in a professional purchasing capacity (i.e. technical/commodity purchasing, purchasing project management, purchasing management, etc.) + Experience with supplier analysis and evaluation (i.e. quality, capacity, cost, etc.) + Experience with supplier bidding process and complex negotiations + Experience with APQP and/or project management tools and methods + Deep knowledge of purchasing tools, negotiation methods, and business communications + Deep Knowledge of cost improvement/containment topics and techniques + Proficient with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project etc.) **Why you should choose ZF:** + A supportive collaborative team environment + Annual Incentive Plan + Paid Vacation + Personal Time + 401k Plan + Health Care Benefits + Paid Holidays + A strong diversity culture + Supportive Employee Groups and community outreach activities Be part of our ZF team as Program Buyer II and apply now!
