Program Assistant
Description The Programs Assistant will provide support for all programs by enforcing policies and assisting with implementation of the programs. This role will work collaboratively with Senior Programs Associate; Programs Associates and State Chairs. The focus will be on providing support to all stakeholders throughout the year. Responsibilities: • Knowledgeable on all company Programs Policies and Procedures • Provide phone support to teachers, parents and students • Provide customer support in Zendesk • Provide back up to Administrative Assistant with materials sales • Create technical documents and support tools • Assist with certificate organization and distribution • Assist with the facilitation of in person and online Certificate of Merit testing • Review all program materials for Convention in hardcopy and digital forms • Assist with membership renewals customer service (seasonally) • Assist with Membership Department’s archiving project Requirements: • Travel to Certificate of Merit and other Program testing locations • Travel to the annual Convention every year on or around Fourth of July • Overtime required during the Convention Week • Overtime required on weekends during the months of January, February and March QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • BA in English, Business or related field a plus • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Zendesk, and Google Docs • Experience with databases PREFERRED SKILLS • Time management skills • Experience with Project Management software • Able to work collaboratively and independently Requirements • Ability to travel to Certificate of Merit testing locations and other program venues. • Availability to attend the annual Convention, including potential overtime during Convention Week. • Willingness to work overtime on weekends during peak months, such as February and March. • Bachelor’s degree in English, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Docs. • Familiarity with databases and project management software. • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and work both independently and collaboratively.
