Program Assessment Specialist
**Job Description** The Program Assessment Specialist coordinates and conducts efforts to provide information for the maintenance, evaluation, and improvement of degree and certificate programs within the School of Nursing (SoN). This position reports to the Program Assessment and Data Reporting Administrator and provides support within the Office of Student and Academic Affairs. The Program Assessment Specialist should demonstrate strong attention to detail, the ability to complete work with a high degree of accuracy, the ability to examine data critically, and contribute to the improvement of data sources, data reports/visualizations, and the use of data by stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities:** + Lead the SoN’s efforts to capture the student experience, conducting surveys to collect data on student outcomes, program effectiveness, and institutional performance. + Translate complex data and prepare deliverables that contribute to ongoing program improvement and accreditation requirements. + Possess or develop a thorough understanding of multiple database systems and School and University systems/policies. + Thoroughly understand security issues around data collection, retention, and dissemination and interpret and synthesize complex academic program details. + Serve as a liaison across teams and departments, fostering collaboration and communication to advance quality improvement initiatives. **Program Assessment/Evaluation and Data Reporting Support (60%):** + Manage _Program Evaluation_ surveys, collaborating with faculty, staff, and SoN Leadership to regularly review and refine surveys, ensuring alignment within programs and with data reporting requirements of regulatory bodies. + Collect _Student and Alumni Satisfaction_ data by generating and disseminating quarterly surveys. + Translate complex data and prepare deliverables that contribute to ongoing program improvement and accreditation requirements. + Perform _Inter-rater Reliability Analysis_ on Admissions data, preparing reports for the SoN’s Curricular Coordinating Committees. + Collect _Faculty and Staff Satisfaction_ data through generating and disseminating annual surveys. + Participate in program accreditation processes and assist the _Program Assessment and Data Reporting Administrator_ in the preparation of complex reports and documentation. + Regularly update the _Systematic Evaluation Plan_ with relevant data, ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements. + Assist the _Program Assessment and Data Reporting Administrator_ in updating visual dashboards and recurring reports with current data. + Develop and maintain data collection and reporting timelines, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met. **Clinical Database (Exxat) Support (30%):** + Oversee input and maintenance of data (preceptor licenses and demographics, clinical site characteristics, etc.) into Exxat, performing regular audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. + Oversee updating and maintenance of Affiliation Agreements within Exxat + Manage the dissemination of clinical placement and evaluation data from Exxat in support of evidence for accreditation, specialized professional standards, and university/SoN priorities. **Academic Services Support (10%):** + Act as a liaison between multiple departments within the SoN, supporting program assessment and quality improvement efforts, including but not limited to participation in workgroups related to program evaluation and revision. + Support the Curriculum team by preparing enrollment reports and archiving course syllabi quarterly. + Participate in Office of Student and Academic Affairs events such as orientation, admissions, and convocation. + Perform other duties as required to support the ongoing mission and strategic plans of the School. **Minimum Requirements:** + Bachelor’s degree in business, education, social sciences, communications, healthcare management or similar. + 2-3 years experience in program management or administration, preferably in healthcare or nursing education OR a relevant combination of education/experience. _Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration._ **Additional Requirements:** + Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion and contributing to an inclusive work and learning environment. + Excellent organizational skills, time management skills, and attention to detail. + Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and multi-tasking. + Sound judgment and discretion with access to sensitive information. + Ability to work independently and as a part of a team + Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products. + Strong interpersonal communication and collaborative skills; strong written and verbal communication skills. **Desired Qualifications:** + Working knowledge of UW policies, procedures, and systems. + Experience supporting academic programs and/or students, especially within healthcare or nursing education. + undefined **Conditions of Employment:** This is a remote position, with rare on-campus work to support programmatic and accreditation events.
