Program Analyst – Hazardous Materials & Warehouse Safety (NAVSUP Support)
Location: Mechanicsburg, PA Position: Program Analyst - Hazardous Materials & Warehouse Safety (NAVSUP Support) Overview: ITC Defense is seeking a dedicated Program Analyst to provide support to NAVSUP WSS NOFX HAZMAT Certifiers. This role focuses on the receipt, review, documentation, re-labeling, and packaging of hazardous materials arriving at the Joint Consolidation Point (JCP) and preparing documentation for hazardous materials leaving the JCP. Additionally, this position serves as the warehouse safety officer, ensuring workplace safety by following OSHA guidelines and enforcing the proper use of personal protective equipment. Responsibilities: Support could be any combination of (but not limited to) the following general areas: + HAZMAT Support: + Collaborate with NAVSUP WSS NOFX HAZMAT Certifiers for the receipt, review, documentation, re-labeling, and packaging of hazardous materials. + Prepare documentation for hazardous materials leaving the JCP, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met. + Warehouse Safety Officer: + Support NAVSUP WSS NOFX DFS personnel in mitigating potential risks to employee safety. + Follow OSHA guidelines on warehouse safety and enforce the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). + Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards. + Provide safety training and updates to warehouse staff. + Operational Support: + Ensure all HAZMAT processes are correctly documented and stored according to regulatory standards. + Maintain an organized and compliant documentation system for all hazardous materials handled at the JCP. + Oversee the proper storage and labeling of hazardous materials to ensure safety and regulatory compliance. + Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: + Security Clearance: Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one. + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college and greater than three (3) years of work experience in a field related to FMS, logistics, program management, or a technical or business analysis discipline related to acquisition, life cycle management, analysis, or planning. + Six (6) years of work experience in a related field may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree. + Associate’s degree and four (4) years additional work experience in a related field may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree. Skills: + Comprehensive understanding of OSHA guidelines and warehouse safety protocols. + Proficient in hazardous materials handling and regulatory compliance. + Excellent written and verbal communication. + Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. + Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. + Strong organizational and time management skills. + This role is critical to maintaining safety and compliance at the JCP while ensuring the efficient handling of hazardous materials.
