Responsibilities:

Apply evidence-based practice and research to improve clinical care and influence patient outcomes.

Collaborate fully as a member of the care team, providing assistance and partnership when needed.

Develop and implement individualized, patient-centered care plans using the nursing process and Relationship Based Care principles.

Build and maintain positive working relationships with patients, colleagues, and external partners, demonstrating accountability, enthusiasm, and cultural sensitivity.

Model healthy work-life balance, safe work hours, and report safety hazards promptly.

Educate patients, families, students, and new staff using adult learning principles to support care and smooth transitions.

Serve as a preceptor and foster a culture of open communication and continuous learning.

Identify and address clinical, social, safety, psychological, and spiritual needs through critical thinking and effective communication.

Maintain thorough documentation that facilitates clear communication among care providers.

Participate actively in shared governance, unit goal setting, and support change initiatives to improve care quality and work environment.

Engage in unit-based quality improvement projects by identifying opportunities and promoting patient satisfaction.
