\nThe position sits within the process team that focuses on duty billing processes, policies, and compliance. The primary objective of the team is to optimize, standardize, and align processes across functions. The team identifies improvement opportunities through data insights and ensures compliance with both regulatory and organizational frameworks.
\nThe team also plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between complex customs clearance procedures and high-quality financial outcomes—ensuring transparency, billing completeness, and regulatory compliance in every country where DHL operates.
\n\n\nHow will you contribute to the success of DHL?\nAs a Professional in the process team, you will collaborate with team members to streamline and improve end to end duty billing processes, ensuring they align with organizational goals and industry standards. You will support the design, documentation, and implementation of the processes. It is your responsibility to ensure duty billing data is turned into information and insights that can be used to make business decisions. In this role we expect you unlock duty billing data to support both the Global Duty team and the Global Duty Billing program to interpret and find improvement ideas for further enhancement of the processes.
\nKey responsibilities:\n\n\nProcess Review and Improvement: Assist in the documentation and maintenance of the duty billing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with global standards. Support process mapping activities and contribute to process optimization initiatives. To actively contribute to Duty process definition workshop & take ownership for delivery of own work packages.\nData Analysis: Conduct data analysis to support the review of country-specific process requests and identify trends or areas for improvement. Prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings for the team. \nCross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate communication amongst team members, shared services teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on duty billing processes. Ensure accountability. Support the Operations teams in the SSCs, countries and regions to understand data and capture in continuous improvement plans. Assist in providing relevant process insights through data analysis for driving process improvements.\n\n\nStakeholder Management: Align with internal and external stakeholders, addressing issues and ensuring compliance and efficiency in processes.\nDocumentation and Compliance: Assist in creating accurate documentation of all process changes, including workflows, policies, and procedures. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies. To document business requirements, and coordinate delivery with BIT and IT providers (internal / external. \nTraining and Support: Support the development of training materials related to duty billing processes. Assist in training sessions and workshops to enhance stakeholder understanding of processes. To establish, contribute and/or actively take part of Global Duty communication strategy towards DHL Express network.\nChange Management/ Request Process: Assist in the change approval process by preparing necessary documentation and follow up on requests to ensure timely response. Help monitor the implementation of approved changes collecting feedback from users, to inform future process adjustments. \nPerformance Measurement: Support the tracking and analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to duty billing. Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes based on performance data.\nRegulatory Awareness: Stay informed of changes in customs regulations and assess their impact on duty billing processes, ensure timely updates to duty billing processes and policies.\nDeployment & Country readiness support: Support the GDB program on process related topics, ensuring timely and specific feedback. To actively contribute to the implementation of the tools, systems & processes with countries & with the regional leads (incl. testing & deployment activities)\n\n\n\n\n\nDo you have what it takes?\n\n
We are seeking an ideal candidate with a strong academic background and relevant experience in Finance, Business Management, IT, Supply Chain Management, or related fields. This individual will possess a solid understanding of customs and duty billing processes, alongside proficiency in process mapping and project management methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma. With a minimum of 2 years of experience in analysis, process design, and improvement—preferably within customs clearance or trade compliance—the candidate will excel in dynamic environments. You will need to demonstrate strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a collaborative spirit, driving continuous improvements and innovative solutions.
\nEducation & Experience:
\n\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant fields.\nMinimum of 2 years of experience in analysis, process design, and improvement.\n\nSkills & Knowledge:
\n\nKnowledge of customs and duty billing processes preferred.\nProficiency in process mapping and project management methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).\nFamiliarity with customs clearance or trade compliance processes is an advantage.\nAbility to execute data analysis by translating business questions into data-driven enquiries.\n\nPersonal Attributes:
