Professional Associate - Liability Lines
Chubb Bermuda invites applications for the position of Professional Associate, Liability Lines Division supporting both the Financial Lines and Excess Liability Lines of Business.  This position will report directly to the Senior Vice President, Liability Lines with the responsibility to perform underwriting and supervisory account management functions for multi-national Fortune 500 accounts with complex insurance needs.

 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Initial preparation of all underwriting documents on behalf of Underwriter including but not limited to entering data into clearing system, Underwriting Fact Sheet, Large Loss Spreadsheet, Pricing Worksheets, News Search, NDAs, etc. and save research documents for underwriting review

Attendance at client underwriting meetings or underwriting calls with Underwriter as invited and/or as required 

Review underlying terms and conditions and present to Underwriter

Preparation and delivery of quotes, binders and policy documentation

Preparation of manuscript endorsements on instruction of Underwriter

Liaison with brokers to assist Underwriter throughout the underwriting process and follow up with any outstanding information

Assist with Punitive Damage Wrap portfolio including but not limited to issuance of quotes, binders, policies, reports, broker correspondence, etc.

Liaison with Underwriting Operations Department to ensure accuracy and integrity of risk information stored in Genius

Liaison with Claims, Legal and Actuarial Department to assist in the underwriting review

Perform File Audit checks for compliance with internal and external audit controls

Production of system-generated management information reports as required by Underwriter or Department Manager

Maintenance of underwriting files   

Assistance with special projects as required

Degree from an accredited college or university 

Progress towards or intention to progress in completing a professional insurance designation (e.g. CPCU, ACII)

Strong written and oral communications skills

Strong analytical, problem solving and critical-thinking skills

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in an efficient and results-oriented manner

Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment

Proficient computer skills – Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Attention to detail and accuracy of work product is essential

Ability to be proactive and improve working processes for greater efficiency

Willingness to take on new tasks as required by the business
